Cecil was born February 18, 1957. He served in the United States Army for 4 years as an Opt Specialist Line Constructor Foreman.

He worked in maintenance at Bowser & Johnson and at Kansas University in the janitorial department.

He leaves to cherish his life daughter, Tamara Sales and two great nieces, Clair and Crea Sales that he was raising as his own.

A longtime companion, Onita Colbert; siblings: Albert Haynes (Memphis, TN); Aaron (Boedie) and Mae (Coffeyville, KS); George (Jackie) and Sharon Haynes, (Tulsa, OK); Ollie Agbara, (Kansas City); Lenora and Theodis Williams, (Topeka, KS); Floyd (June) Sales, Jr. (Coffeyville, KS); Rita Ann Mathews, (Leavenworth, KS); William (Poppa) Sales, (Coffeyville, KS).

He also leaves three aunts Lucille Jennings, (Milwaukee, WI); Leora Bonds, (Ripley, TN); Vera Epps, (Memphis,TN), a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation has taken place.
